28/11/2016 - Eitan Anner's film has won the Grand Prix; other winners include Romania’s Eastern Business and Iran’s Breath

Israeli director Eitan Anner's third feature film, A Quiet Heart [+see also:

film profile], has won the Grand Prix for Best Film at the 20th Black Nights International Film Festival in Tallinn (11-27 November). The drama about a young pianist in crisis who moves to an ultra-Orthodox neighbourhood in Jerusalem also earned its lead, Ania Bukstein, the Jury Prize for Best Actress. 

Iran's Narges Abyar won Best Director for Breath, while Romanian comedy Eastern Business [+see also:

film profile] received Best Screenplay for writer-director Igor Cobileanski and Best Actor, split between Ion Sapdaru and Constantin Puscasu.

In the First Feature Film Competition, the Best Film Award went to Duet by David Nanesh from Iran. The film also picked up the NETPAC Award. Lastly, Kadri Kõusaar's Mother [+see also:
