All set for the 7th edition of Ciné in Riccione

- Film industry professionals will meet at the Giornate Estive di Cinema from 4 to 7 July, with a programme featuring big premieres, conferences, previews and workshops
Between 4 and 7 July Riccione will host the seventh edition of Ciné - Giornate Estive di Cinema, the national film industry event promoted and supported by ANICA, in partnership with ANEC and ANEM. A networking opportunity for industry professionals, and a celebration for the wider public, the programme features guests, big premieres, conferences and workshops.
The distribution conventions, which will present the premieres of titles from next season, will kick off on Tuesday 4 July with The Walt Disney Company Italia, continuing on Wednesday 5 with Universal Pictures, Adler, Notorious Pictures, Warner Bros, Videa, Koch Media and Ambi Media; on Thursday 6 July it will be the turn of 20th Century Fox, Cinema, M2 Pictures, Vision Distribution, Medusa, I Wonder Pictures and Lucky Red, wrapping up on Friday 7 with Eagle Pictures, Bim Distribuzione and 01 Distribution. At the same time, there will be presentations of the reels of Distribuzione Indipendente, Distribuzione Cinema, Merlino Distribuzione, Officine Ubu, Rai Com, Twelve Entertainment and Altre Storie.
Guests at this year’s edition include Fausto Brizzi, who will talk about his latest film Poveri ma ricchi 2, the sequel to box office champion comedy, being released for Warner Bros. a Natale, and Alessio Maria Federici, who will present, along with his lead actors Ambra Angiolini and Pietro Sermonti, the film Couple Therapy for Cheaters [+see also:
film profile], based on the book of the same name by Diego De Silva, being released in the autumn, again for Warner Bros.
Medusa will instead be deploying Donato Carrisi, and his directorial debut La ragazza nella nebbia [+see also:
film profile], based on his book of the same name from 2015; then there’s comic duo Corrado Nuzzo and Maria Di Biase, also in their directorial debut with Vengo anch’io [+see also:
film profile], being released this autumn; Vincenzo Salemme, Max Tortora and Carlo Buccirosso, the protagonists of the new comedy by the Vanzina brothers, Caccia al tesoro [+see also:
film profile], and finally Neri Parenti with Massimo Boldi presenting Natale da chef [+see also:
Vision Distribution will present its titles in the company of Alessandro Gassmann, the director and star of road movie Il Premio [+see also:

film profile], and Lillo, one of the protagonists of the comedy Nove lune e mezza, the first work by actress Michela Andreozzi (see news article). Also putting in an appearance at Riccione will be Vinicio Marchioni and Anna Foglietta with directors Matteo Botrugno and Daniele Coluccini to talk about Il contagio, the second film to be released for Notorious Pictures, based on the book by Walter Siti (see news article), and Paolo Ruffini for the new Christmas comedy by Filmauro.
One of the big premieres lined up is Atomica Bionda, starring Charlize Theron and James McAvoy (being released on 17 August for Universal Pictures), and the new action film by Edgar Wright, Baby Driver [+see also:
film profile] (being released on 7 September for Warner Bros.) starring Jamie Foxx. There is instead a dedicated section for the wider public, the CinéMax section, featuring Some Like it Veiled [+see also:
film profile], the surprising debut piece by French-Iranian director Sou Abadi (being released in December by Wonder Pictures); documentary Safari [+see also:
film profile] by Ulrich Seidl (Lab80), which was presented at Venice last year; the overwhelming and prohibited passion told by Rolando Colla in 7 Days [+see also:
film profile] (being released in August for Solaria Film - Movimento Film in partnership with Lo Scrittoio); and documentary Bagnini e Bagnanti by Fabio Paleari and Luca Legnani (102 Distribution), set on one of the most famous beaches on the peninsula in discovery of the legendary figure of the lifeguard.
Last but not least there’s the professional training space the ANICALAB, a place for exchange on the themes of production, distribution and exhibition; with the conference on Italian film production held by Box Office with the presentation of the research carried out by GFK, funded by the Italian Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities, on the seasonal use of cinemas and the solutions aimed at extending the film season.
