The nominations for the Cartoon Movie Tributes, which reward a leading individual or company that has had a dynamic and positive influence on the European animated feature-film industry, have been revealed. The names of the winners will be announced in Bordeaux at the 20th edition of Cartoon Movie (7-9 March), the co-production forum for European animated features.

. The other companies duking it out are Platige Image (Poland), Kanaki Films (Spain), Walking the Dog (Belgium), Wüste Film (Germany), Animationsfabrik (Germany) and Puppetworks (Hungary) for Another Day of Life by Raul de la Fuente and Damian Nenow. Lastly, Danish firm A. Film Production is also one of the hopefuls. Interestingly, five of its animated productions or co-productions were or will be released between October 2017 and December 2018: namely, The Incredible Story of the Giant Pear [+see also:

Finally, the Best European Distributor of the Year Award will pit French firm SND Groupe M6 against Spain’s Latido Films, Bulgaria’s Pro Films and the Netherlands’ Windmill Film.
