Six projects were selected in the second panel’s first 2018 session for an advance on earnings from the CNC. (currently in post-production). The plot sees George drop everything overnight to buy the 100% suede jacket of his dreams. A purchase that will cost him all of his savings and will turn into an obsession. This possessive and jealous relationship will eventually push George into criminal delirium.

Produced by Thomas Verhaeghe and Mathieu Verhaeghe for Atelier de Production (which has already produced the director's previous feature) Le Daim was also co-produced by Arte France Cinema. Also pre-purchased by Canal+, the film is supported by the Nouvelle Aquitaine region. Six weeks of shooting will take place from 12 March to 20 April in the department of Pyrénées-Atlantiques. French distribution will be handled by Diaphana and international sales by WTFilms.
