 and Coming Out, which were smash hits in his country’s movie theatres in 2009 and late 2013, respectively. To head up the cast of his new opus, the filmmaker has brought together rising star Réka Tenki (very popular in On Body and Soul [+see also:

The story, written by Denes Orosz and Zsuzsi Varady, revolves around Gergő, a film critic whose mother is obsessed with having a grandchild. She has a serious heart disease and has only days left to live. To give his mum some joy during her final hours, Gergő asks his neighbour Saci, who is five months pregnant, to visit his mother in hospital with him and tell her that she is carrying his child. It all goes smoothly, but a new heart arrives, and his mum is operated on and makes a good recovery. Therefore, Gergő and Saci are forced to play the roles of the loving couple.

Produced by Attila Tõzsér and by the director himself for A2O, Mimi is being backed by the Hungarian National Film Fund, which will also be in charge of the international sales. The shoot will take place until mid-August in Budapest with Ádám Fillenz (Adrienn Pál [+see also:

) on board as DoP. The Hungarian theatrical distribution will be overseen by Intercom.
