Written by Mélanie Auffret and Michael Souhaité, the screenplay takes its inspiration from a sort of culture clash. Indeed, what exactly has Cyrano de Bergerac got to do with an organic chicken farm in Brittany? This is precisely Raymond's problem, who has always kept his passion for theatre a secret. But when he is threatened with bankruptcy, he decides to go for broke. His idea, as crazy as it is desperate, is to cast his hens in a production, along with his favourite "actress" Roxane [+see also:

, in order to create a buzz on social media and save his farm, his family and his relationship in style.

Produced by Quad, Roxane was co-produced by TF1 Studio and France 3 Cinéma. Pre-purchased by France 3 and OCS, the feature film has also received funding from Sofica SG Image and the Region of Brittany, where seven weeks of filming will take place until 27 July, with Nicolas Massart as director of photography. It’s worth noting that the music will be composed by Gaëtan Roussel (2013 César nominee for Camille Rewinds [+see also:

). Mars Films will distribute the film in France during the first half of 2019 on behalf of TF1 Studio, which is driving international sales.
