by Romanian director Ioana Uricaru has walked away with the Golden Lynx at the 14th FEST - New Directors/New Films Festival. First unveiled at the most recent Berlinale, the film focuses on the trials and tribulations of a Romanian woman and her son as they adjust to their new life in the United States. Uricaru herself has been based in the United States for nearly 20 years, and her feature debut is a co-production between Romania, Canada, Germany and Sweden.
