Rabal and the body’s inertia

by

This summer Spanish actor Liberto Rabal (Live Flesh by Pedro Almodóvar) will start shooting his second feature film as a director La Inercia de los Cuerpos (The Inertia of the bodies), following his first outing Síndrome, produced by Zebra Producciones and premiered in Spain last January.

The growing dehumanisation of the medical system and the high physical and psychological pressure imposed on the profession inspired Rabal, who has been preparing the project for almost a year now. The tale of a medical mistake which dramatically changes the life of a doctor and the people affected, focuses on "those moments when a sudden and profound change in people's lives forces them to face their own inertia, the strength of their own nature which prevents them from being what they potentially might be".
La Inercia de los Cuerpos stars the Argentinean actor Leonardo Sbaraglia and Adriana Davidova, who also wrote the script with her husband and director Liberto Rabal, continuing a collaboration that began with Síndrome. The amazing cast includes supporting performances by Pilar Bardem, Angela Molina and Alvaro Luna. The release date is yet to be announced.
