directed by Ruxandra Zenide won the Vague d’Or for best film at the 7th International Festival of Woman’s cinema in Bordeaux. The jury headed by Marisa Berenson also honoured Distorsion by Haïm Bouzaglo (produced by the Parisians at Mazel Productions) awarding it the Vague d'Or for Best Direction. In the last few years the festival has honoured filmmakers such as Danish Annette K. Olesen and Lone Scherfig, German Caroline Link, British Gurinder Chadha, Dutch Maria Ramos, Austrian Ulrike Schweiger, French woman Yamina Benguigui and also the Spaniard Isabelle Coixet, and the Bordeaux event was opened this year with Saint Jacques...
