Veteran French filmmaker, Claude Chabrol, 73, is on location in the vineyards of Quinsac, 15 km south of Bordeaux, for his 53rd film, La fleur du mal - The Flower of Evil. Produced by MK2, Chabrol´s put together a stellar cast that includes Nathalie Baye, Benoît Magimel and Suzanne Flon as well as his son, Thomas.
Known for his propensity for exploring the darker side of middle-class French society, Chabrol also wrote this familial drama of political ambition, adultery, love affairs that border on incest with Caroline Eliacheff. The film will go into post-production in 7 weeks time.
