Kids show in Stockholm

During the 7th Stockholm Film Festival Junior (April 2-9), held this week in the Swedish capital, children and youngsters are running the show under the supervision of festival director Git Scheynius and programme director George Ivanov. A group of ten kids will be interviewing international filmmakers and stars and choosing the Best Kids Feature (ages 6-10), the Best Children’s Film (ages 11-13) and the Best Youth Film (ages 14-16).

– the most popular Danish film in 2005 – were onstage answering questions and today it’s Ove-Raymong Gyldenås turn, as director of the Norwegian film Tommy’s Inferno, as well as Mischa Kamp, director of Dutch film Winky’s Horse [+see also:

, and Vili Järvinen, the young star of Finnish film Valo.

A total of 19 quality feature films will compete in the three main sections, including Charles Sturridge’s UK title Lassie, Rene Vilbre’s Mat The Cat, the biggest domestic hit in Estonia last year, My Brother’s Summer by Italy’s Pietro Reggiani, and Schnitzel Paradise [+see also:

Last year, a total of 60 films screened during the festival, which attracted over 8,000 cinemagoers.
