The selected films gave rise to several debates, meetings with actors and directors, creative activities and reviews. The keen interest that the initiative aroused in young filmgoers makes one realise that young viewers know more about cinema than is thought and that this desire to see something other than commercial films depends not only on education, but also on access.

Over a hundred students, actors and award-winning directors attended the awards ceremony. Also present at the event were Minister for Education of the French-speaking community Marie Arena, Minister of Culture Fadila Laanan and the General Secretary of the Audiovisual service of the Ministry of the French-speaking community, Henri Inberg, all of whom were involved in creating the initiative and were delighted to see young students continue their discussions with actors and directors following the ceremony.
