Wendt also said that Ghost of Cité Soleil, a feature-length documentary by Asper Leth, produced by Nordisk with US partner Sak Pasé Inc., has been selected for a programme slot at the upcoming Toronto Film Festival. The film, scheduled for a Danish release next fall, is about young, armed Haitian men from the slums who are used for political purposes.

“Unfortunately, four of our upcoming titles are still in post-production and weren’t ready in time for Cannes,” stressed Wendt. Those include Tomas Villum Jensen’s Explosive Bomb, a comedy about the Danish film industry scripted by Anders Thomas Jensen, Easy Skanking, a comedy by popular filmmaker Hella Joof ( Oh Happy Day), and the feature debuts Pure Hearts, by Kenneth Kainz, scripted by prolific writer Kim Fupz Aakeson and produced by Fine & Mellow Productions, and Reprise, by up-and-coming Norwegian filmmaker Joachim Trier, produced in Norway by 4½ Productions. The latter film, about friendship, madness and creativity, will be platformed at Toronto.
