film profile], Nanni Moretti is getting back to work. "I will begin a new film in September," he said in Rome during the 29th edition of the "Massenzio - Il cinema è indipendente" film series, which dedicated an evening to him.

In typical fashion, however, he offered no further details. "I already have something, at least an underlying idea. My intention is to make films more often now, I don’t want to let a lot years pass by [between them]".

In the meantime, the director is engaged in controversy with Medusa Film: Moretti calls it "a retaliation" the decision by the group of former President Silvio Berlusconi to refuse the screening of several films for the summer program of the Nuovo Sacher, the cinema Moretti owns, and the director’s popular summer film series entitled "Bimbi Belli", this year in its fourth edition. "I am very sorry,” writes Moretti on the cover of his cinema’s summer program, “to have had to cancel the fourth edition of the series, seeing as how of the eight films selected, four were distributed by Medusa”.

Medusa Film categorically denies having resorted to any form of retaliation: "The Nuovo Sacher’s request was obviously blocked due to some internal technical error, and certainly not as an affront to the director. All of the requested films are thus at the Nuovo Sacher’s disposal, as they have been in the preceding editions of the series".
