10 films vie for Nordic Council Film Prize

Each of the five Nordic countries (Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Iceland and Finland) have two films in the running for the 2006 Nordic Council Film Prize, which will be awarded next November 1 in Copenhagen during the annual session of the Nordic Council. The DKK 350,000 (€47,000) cash award will be split equally between the film’s scriptwriter, director and producer.

Sweden is represented by Mouth to Mouth, written and directed by Björn Runge, as well as by Josef FaresZozo [+see also:

, a Oscar possible nominee last year and the fourth most popular domestic film (with an overall 280,000 admissions).
