Rome and Lazio Film Commission founded
The final measure of the founding of the Rome and Lazio Film Commission (see news) was signed yesterday by President of the Region Piero Marrazzo, President of the Province of Rome Enrico Gasbarra, Rome Mayor Walter Veltroni and by the presidents of the Provinces of Viterbo and Rieti.
The constitution of the foundation completes a package of already initiated programmes, including VAT reimbursement for foreign producers who make a film in the Lazio region and supporting coordination activities with other Italian and foreign film commissions to advance international co-productions and offer assistance to production companies.
The Region’s activities, already set into motion through its participation in the RomeFilmFest, with the “Terre di Cinema” convention and the signing of the regions of four capital cities for the production of European cinema (Lazio, Ile de France, Communidad di Madrid and Berlin Brandenburg), features a new stage with the "Festival delle Fiction" that will be held in Rome from July 2-7, 2007.
