Call for tenders for audiovisual studies

The European Commission (DG INFSO-A2 – MEDIA Programme) is releasing a call for tenders to carry out a study into "the role of SMEs and European audiovisual works in the home entertainment media sector (Pay TV, home video, video on demand, video games, Internet, etc.), which is undergoing rapid change."

The objective of the study is to measure the relative position of various home entertainment media and their future trends, and to identify how European SMEs in the sector can adapt their strategies in order to optimise their revenue from this source. Contact:

A second study has been commissioned by the DG INFSO-A1 and will deal with the application of measures related to the promotion and distribution of European audiovisual services as part of the "Television Without Frontiers /Audiovisual Media Services" directive.

The aim of the study is to provide a clear view of the situation in legal and market terms, in the member States and a number of third countries, with regard to the promotion and distribution of European audiovisual services once the "Audiovisual Media Services" directive comes into effect, with a view to setting up future activities with regular follow-up.
