Admissions down but von Donnersmarck surprises

There has been a drastic drop in admissions in the third weekend in April, due in part to the arrival of warm weather. The overall box office dropped approximately €5m, a 25% loss the previous weekend (and also less than the seasonal averages).

According to Cinetel data, Mr. Bean's Holiday is at the top of the box office for the second weekend in a row as new titles enter the top ten: US thriller Perfect Stranger, Simona Izzo’s comedy Tutte le donne della mia vita [+see also:

The Best Foreign Film Oscar winner, released in Italy by 01 Distribution on April 6, is heading towards the €1m box office mark. "Many exhibitors witness warm and spontaneous applause from audiences each evening", says Gaelle Armentano, marketing director at 01.
