Echoes of Home receives a nomination for the European Film Awards

film profile] (Maximage) will be flying the Swiss flag in the documentary category at the European Film Awards, whose 2007 edition will take place on December 1 in Berlin.
A winner of two awards at the Berlinale and the Audience Award at the Nyon Visions du Réel International Film Festival, the film explores the unique world of three experimental Swiss folk singers and yodelers. It also screened at Munich’s Dokfest and picked up the Golden Athena Best Music & Film Award at the 13th Athens International Film Festival in September.
Echoes of Home is one of eight films that will vie for the ARTE Best Documentary Award, presented by a three-member jury made up this year by head of International Promotion at Swiss Films Francine Brücher, New Israeli Film Foundation General Director David Fisher and German director-producer Philip Gröning.
