Nine Shooting Stars head to Berlin

European Film Promotion has announced the names of the nine young actors who will take part in the Shooting Stars 2008 event at the upcoming Berlin Film Festival (February 8-12, 2008).

The nine talented actors were chosen by a jury comprising casting director Beatrice Kruger (Italy), personal manager Derek Power (USA), producer Vibeke Windeløv (Denmark), 2002 UK Shooting Star Lucy Russell and cinematographer Michael Ballhaus (Germany). In previous editions the list of emerging talents was directly appointed by Europe's national film institutes, members of EFP.

For the third consecutive year, Cineuropa is associating with the initiative and will soon publish exclusive interviews with the Shooting Stars.
