The film is based on interviews with the Russian journalist carried out by Bergkraut when making Coca: The Dove from Chechnya (a cinematic portrait of the Chechnyan human rights campaigner Saïnap Gachayeva), which won the International Human Rights Movie Award at the 2007 Cinema for Peace gala.
