PRODUCTION Germany

Shooting underway on Summertime Blues

by

As of yesterday, Bremen is hosting the shoot for Summertime Blues, the graduate film by Marie Reich (daughter of the famous children’s film producers Uschi Reich and Peter Zenk) for the Munich Film and Television School. The title is adapted from Julia Clarke’s eponymous novel.

Written by Friederike Köpf, Uschi Reich and Robin Getrost, the film is about growing up. The young, 15-year-old hero, Alex (François Göske), is upset about the separation of his parents. He has lost all his familiar reference points, but as the film unfolds, he gradually learns to understand love and reconcile himself to the situation.
