What is an experimental film? The artists and poets who began using celluloid before World War I still reside in a No Man’s Land. Excluded from movie theatres, they created an independent network that allowed them to produce and show their films. In doing so, they built a body of work that still influences our culture. I wished to share with you a few of the films I love and introduce to the free, radical artists who made them.
