is a Polish production screened in competition at this year's Karlovy Vary International Film Festival. The director’s feature debut follows the story of Ania and Kasia, two 17-year-old girls living in the suburbs of Kraków. What the girls have in common is not just that they are training to become professional hairdressers at the same salon, but also that neither of them have good relationships with their parents. This is a coming-of-age tale about the seemingly mundane yet fundamental moments between childhood and adulthood. We met up with Zariczny at the festival to talk about the film.
