It's 1969. Jakub is expelled right before finishing his thesis. He investigates the life and death of a famous scandalist and provocateur, Witkacy. Jakub thinks that he didn't commit suicide in 1939, because all the evidence suggests that Witkacy is alive and well doing what he does best. Jakub just needs to find him.
