Lisbon Docs, an international financing and co-production forum for documentary films to be held in the Portuguese capital from 14-18 October, has extended its submission deadline to 31 August.

Interested candidates can submit their applications to lisbondocs@apordoc.org (for Portuguese projects) or to edn@edn.dk (for international projects). Applications must include a 2-page presentation of the project (film synopsis, title, name of the producer, production company and director, length, format, short CV and filmography of company and director, status of the project and contact information); as well as visual material (trailer, film stills, rough cuts...).

Lisbon Docs will concentrate on strategies to create top-quality documentary projects and on how to deliver them to existing and new audiences (click here to read more about the forum). The names of experts attending the forum have been unveiled. These include Calum Gray (Independent Film Company, UK), Claire Aguilar (ITVS, USA), Jenny Westergård (YLE, Finland), Robert Salvestrin (Lucky You, France), Tom Koch (PBS International, USA), Wilbur Leguebe (RTBF, Belgium), Wim Van Rompaey (Lichtpunt, Belgium), Audrius Stonys (Filmmaker, Lithuania), Catarina Alves Costa (Filmmaker, Portugal), Edda Baumann von Broen (Filmmaker and Producer, Germany), Koen Suidgeest (Filmmaker, Netherlands), Marta Andreu (Producer, Spain), Mark Daems (Producer, Belgium) and Tracie Holder (Filmmaker and Producer, USA).
