UN LUGAR EN EL CINE

by Alberto Morais

synopsis

Centred on three filmmakers, Un lugar en el cine is about resistance through film, looking at the engagement and dialogue with History. Greek director, Theo Angelopoulos, sets off on a journey from Athens to Ostia, the Roman beach where Pier Paolo Pasolini was murdered. Far away, in a train station in Spain, Spanish director Víctor Erice gets closer to his subject in an interview. In Italy, we meet Tonino Guerra, Ninetto Davoli and Nico Naldini. Like Pasolini’s faded voice, they close the historical and cinematic triangle made up of the three directors.
