synopsis

To celebrate La Fête des Voisins (Neighbours’ Day), Pierrot, a young apartment block caretaker, organises a last-minute aperitif party in the courtyard with a buffet, balloons and streamers. The neighbours will thus have a chance to meet in an atmosphere that is more convivial than a lift, stairwell or a stormy co-owners’ meeting. Thinking that the bitter pill will be sweetened with a glass of champagne, the mayor invites himself to the Neighbours’ Day party to announce some bad news to the apartment block residents.
