MAMA ALOKO

by Jean Odoutan

synopsis

Paris. The Belleville district, rue Sainte-Marthe. An African restaurant where alokos and fried bananas are sold. A matronly woman, Mama Aloko, runs the place. She’s faced with the laziness of the wards of the social welfare services, the mind-numbing advice of a failed writer, beggars, her own loneliness, skinheads and most of all, her broken-down fridge which is the cause of all her problems...
