MARCHE ET RÊVE (LES HOMMES DE L'UTOPIE)

by Paul Carpita

synopsis

Antoine Paruso, a.k.a “Toinou,” a generous and boastful man in his forties, André Lespinasse, a.k.a “Doctor” due to his dubious first-aid diploma, 35, and Brahim Ben Kader, 30, a.k.a “Bibi,” a welder, are well known in Martigues, the “Venice of Provence.” Formerly employed at the Plurimetal factory, they now run a thriving shellfish stall, Toinou & Co. Toinou had the bright idea of combining their redundancy payouts to set up the stall. But now that their social security payments have run out, and while they are trying to find work, they've been forced into the illegal lobster trade.
