BEAR'S KISS

by Sergei Bodrov

synopsis

Lola, 14, is a trapeze artist who works in circus and performs with her mother, although she prefers magic tricks to the high wire. Her only friends are her fellow circus performers and children are always teasing and bullying her. Her only real friend is a bear cub called Leo, a present from her step-father André. Quite unexpectedly, Lola's mother runs away, leaving a note for her daughter. The years pass and Lola has become a young woman and Leo a fine specimen of a bear. One day she confesses to Leo her desire to find a boy who loves her back and will never leave her.
