DES APACHES

by Nassim Amaouche

synopsis

During his mother's funeral, Samir exchanges glances with a man he doesn't know: his father. His father drags him into a family affair that plunges Samir into the heart of the Kabyle population, and its traditions, of Paris's Belleville neighborhood. It is an experience that unsettles him and makes Samir's past rise to the surface in a strange way. Confronted by his choices, Samir must extricate himself from his childhood and his clan to become a free man, an "Apache."
