LIMESTONE COWBOY

by Abigail Mallia

synopsis

Set in contemporary Malta and inspired by true events, Limestone Cowboy is a human story of a family grappling with the discomforting notion of a delusional parent, Karist, who believes he has what it takes to run for office and get elected as the nation’s Prime Minister. It is the story of one very special man and how his childlike perspective on the world, brings about a change in those around him – Tommy, his makeshift campaign manager, a flawed man with a dubious past and an uncertain future and his son John, who must allow himself to fall to pieces in order to understand that vulnerability is at the core of courage.
