synopsis

The story of a young man entering on his critical adult phase. While being a child, Xavier was given up by his mother to an orphanage where he spent childhood.
There he had the friendship of Hipólito and the love and care of sister Maria da Luz, a nun.
During adolescence Xavier was adopted by the Alves, a bourgeois family with a daughter called Luísa, a little younger than him. The Alves prevented Xavier from any contact with his mother, but gave him an appropriate life. Nevertheless, rebelliousness arrives at the same time as he grows up.
