MRS HENDERSON PRESENTS

by Stephen Frears

synopsis

In pre-World War II London, Mr. Henderson dies leaving his wife a large fortune and all the time in the world to spend it. In order to overcome her grief, Mrs Henderson, who has never worked a day in her life, decides to take things under control and sets up her own business. To do this she engages the help of an expert, but the only person she finds to help her is the formidable and tenacious theatre manager, Vivian Van Damm.
