synopsis

The setting is the suburbs at night. In a small police station, Emilie Carange – a police lieutenant plagued by frustrations – notices the arrival of Jamil Messaouden, a young trainee with rather unorthodox working methods. She falls madly in love with him. A little Arab grandmother says she has witnessed a major drug trafficking incident. Viard, the drugs squad cop, who should logically be the one to track them down has "his head and heart elsewhere". The team find themselves dealing with a case that is beyond them.
