), Christophe Mazodier (producer of 2002 film Parfum d’absinthe with Stefan Arndt of X-Filme Creative Pool and film financing expert through his company Short Cuts) and Belgian producer Hubert Toint (Saga FilmDarwin’s Nightmare). The €1.7m feature is a 75% French production, co-produced by Julie Delpy’s French outfit Tempête Sous un Crâne Productions and Germany’s 3L Filmproduktion GmbH (25%).

Distribution
Released in Germany and Austria on May 17-18 through 3L Filmverleih GmbH & Co.KG, and in Switzerland (Xenix Filmdistribution Gmbh) on May 18, the film opens in France on July 11 through Rezo Films on over 100 screens. Other forthcoming releases include Norway (July 13), Finland (July 27), Spain and the US (August 10), the UK (August 31) and Italy (end of September).

International sales
Sold by French outfit Rezo Films International, 2 Days in Paris did very well at Berlin’s European Film Market in February with sales to 43 territories, including The Samuel Goldwyn Company for the US and Seville for Canada. In Europe, the film was sold by Laurent Danielou’s team to the UK (The Works), Spain (Golem Distribución), Scandinavia (Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland and Iceland – NonStop Entertainment), Italy (D.N.C. S.p.a.), Portugal (LNK audiovisuais S.A.), Benelux (IFD - Imagine Film Distribution), Greece (Odeon S.A.), Eastern Europe (EEAP - Eastern European Acquisition Pool) with releases slated in Poland (Kino Świat), Hungary (Budapest Film), the Baltic countries (Acme Film) and the former Yugoslavia (Megacom).

By the close of the 2007 Cannes Film Market, a total 84 territories had bought the title, driven by a buzz that generated at least three bids for each territory.
