08/05/2014 - L'Allemagne, le Royaume-Uni et la France sont représentés parmi les finalistes aux Oscars des étudiants

Les finalistes de la 41ème édition des Academy Awards des étudiants représentent 23 écoles de cinéma américaines et comprennent aussi dix étudiants étrangers, dont huit viennent d'écoles européennes. On trouve parmi eux deux Allemands (de l'Université de cinéma et de télévision de Munich et de l'École de cinéma de Hambourg) et deux Britanniques (de l'École nationale de cinéma et de télévision, et de l'École du cinéma de la région nord). Sont également représentés les Pays-Bas, la France, la Slovénie et le Danemark. Les finalistes dans la catégorie meilleur film étranger ont été triés et sélectionnés par le comité des nominations aux Oscars étudiants.

Les Oscars des étudiants ont été créés en 1972 pour "soutenir et encourager l'excellence cinématographique au niveau universitaire". Les membres de l'Academy vont à présent voter pour choisir jusqu'à trois gagnants dans chaque catégorie. Les gagnants seront annoncés avant la fin du mois, mais pas leurs prix. Ils seront ensuite invités à Los Angeles pour une semaine d'activités et d'événements réseau qui se conclura par une cérémonie de remise des prix le samedi 7 juin à 18h, au DGA Theater de Hollywood. Ce n'est qu'alors qu'on saura qui a eu l'or, l'argent et le bronze.
