BIM is due to distribute Cannes Film Festival Palme d'Or winner Shoplifters in Italy. The company, managed by Antonio Medici, bought the distribution rights to the Japanese director Hirokazu Kore-eda's film at the Film Market, along with the rights to the thriller The Unthinkable by the Swedish collective Crazy Pictures and the TV film The Spinning Man by Simon Kaijser, starring Pierce Brosnan and Guy Pearce.

The Rome-based company managed by Guglielmo Marchetti also opted for the biopic Judy by Rupert Goold, in which Renée Zellweger plays Judy Garland, A Private War by Matthew Heineman, starring Rosamund Pike, Jamie Dornan and Stanley Tucci – based on the life of the war reporter Marie Colvin – the "romantic dramedy" Five Feet Apart by Justin Baldoni, the family comedy Dog Days by Ken Marino, starring Eva Longoria, the thriller Charlie Johnson In The Flames, directed by Tarik Saleh and starring Liam Neeson, and the French animated film Terra Willy by Eric Tosti.
