by Paolo Sorrentino will be released as one single 2 hour 25 minute film for the international market and will also be distributed in Italy by Universal at the end of September in order to allow the film to qualify for the 2019 Oscar race.

The Oscar-winning Neapolitan director has just finished editing a new unseen version of his film about Silvio Berlusconi, which was released in two parts – with a running time of 104 and 100 minutes respectively – in Italian cinemas on 24 April and 10 May this year. According to Variety, the combined version will be presented at Toronto Film Festival in September, before being released in Italian cinemas and then finally landing – in a twist of fate – on the Berlusconi-owned Mediaset TV network, with whom Universal has an exclusive agreement.
