"This year's festival favours films directed by women and films with strong social themes, such as immigration, violence against women and refugees, which is partly why we chose a jury of only women, producers and actresses,” stated the artistic director. The jury includes the producer Martha de Laurentiis (who will act as the jury president), Maria Grazia Cucinotta (actress, director, producer), Donatella Palermo (producer), Eleonora Granata (producer) and Adriana Chiesa (producer and international distributor). The jury will be judging the Taormina Arte Award, which will be presented on the evening of 20 July at Taormina Teatro Antico. This year’s edition also boasts a plethora of guests, including Rupert Everett, Richard Dreyfuss, Matthew Modine, Michele Placido, Sabina Guzzanti, Pietro Valsecchi, Michela Andreozzi and Maria Sole Tognazzi.
