Sherry Hormann

Born in Kingston (New York), this German-American director won several prizes for her first work, Silent Shadow (1991), which she also wrote, including the Bavarian Film Award and the Max-Ophüls Award. She went on to direct Frauen sind was Wunderbares (1994), Father’s Day (1996), Widows (1998) and Guys and Balls (2004).

For TV she has directed various thrillers, episodes of the series Der Kriminalist (2006) and the mini-series Helen, Fred and Ted (2006), nominated for the Baviera TV awards. Desert Flower was presented at the Venice Festival.
