Ari Bafalouka

He was born in Athens and for eight successive years, he was a Greek swimming champion. In 1995, he graduated from Athens University (Physical Education department) and the Stavrakos Film School.

He subsequently studied in the UK on a Greek Film Centre scholarship, receiving an MA in Film & TV Direction from the Northern Media School.

Having worked as an assistant director with many well-known filmmakers, he began directing documentaries and short films in 1997. Apnea is his first feature film. (Thessaloniki film festival)
