Director. Born 1969, Denmark. Studied at the University of Bristol and University of Roskilde. Has worked in TV, producing and directing a number of popular miniseries for children and teens. Her fanciful short film "Fanny Farveløs"/"Penny Plain" (1997) is included in "Karla Kanin Bio"/"Bunny's Tales", a classic series of Danish fiction films for children.

Arthy made her feature film debut with the youth film "Mirakel"/"Miracle" (2000) which was chosen for Kinderfilmfest in Berlin and awarded at festivals worldwide. Her first feature for an adult audience followed in 2003, the romantic comedy "Se til venstre, der er en Svensker"/"Old, New, Borrowed and Blue" (2003), adhering to the Dogme doctrine and recipient of top awards in AFI, Los Angeles, Moscow and Karlovy Vary. Her third feature film, the teen drama "Fighter"/"Fighter" (2007) with adventurous kung fu scenes choreographed by kung fu master Xian Gao (from "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon") was selected for Berlin (Generation 14plus) and won the Church Prize at BUFF in Malmö.

Arthy has also directed episodes of internationally known Danish TV series "The Killing III" (2012) and "Heartless"(2014).
