Ulrich Seidl

Director, writer and producer from Austria. Born in 1952 in Vienna. He studied journalism, art history and drama in Vienna, before entering the prestigious Vienna Film Academy at the age of 26. He is the director of numerous award-winning documentaries.

His first fiction feature, Dog Days, won the Grand Jury Special Prize at the 2001 Venice Film Festival. His next fiction feature films, Import Export and Paradise: Love, premiered in competition at the 2007 and 2012 Cannes Film Festival. His latest film Paradise: Faith premiered at the festival in Venice. (Source: Warsaw Film Festival)
