Manuel Gutiérrez Aragón

Born in Torrelavega in Cantabria on 2 January 1942. He took his finals at the faculty of philosophy at Madrid University and graduated in film studies in 1970, subsequently working as a screenwriter.

He won a Silver Bear in 1977 for his film, Camada negra. He also works as a dramatist and stage director. He became president of the Spanish Writer’s Association in the mid-nineties.
