Jan Hrebejk

Born in Prague on 27.6.1967 where he studied screenwriting at the FAMU. His first film as a director was a short live film for Czech television. His works have been invited to international film festivals regularly since the year 2000. He often collaborates with Petr Jarchovský, whom he has known since his schooldays and who also wrote the screenplay for KAWASAKIHO RŮŽE. (Source: Berlin Film Festival)
