Christine Carrière

Christine Carrière is a French director. As a student at the FEMIS she starts her career by making some noticed short films like Quai d'Argenteuil, Les Pieds Humides and Le Marriage Blanc. Her first feature film, Rosine in 1995, brought Mathilde Seigner one of her first major roles: a young working class mother for which she won the Prix Michel Simon. In 1999, she returns with Qui Plume La Lune? with Jean-Pierre Darroussin, which was presented in Cannes at the Directors' Fortnight. In 2007, Christine Carrière, adapted a novel by Jean Teulé for her film, Darling with Marina Foïs and Guillaume Canet.
