Philippe Van Leeuw

Born in Brussels, Philippe Van Leeuw studied at the INSAS before moving to Los Angeles, where he studied at the American Film Institute. On his return to Europe, he worked as a director of photography for documentaries, institutional videos and advertising.

That’s when he met Bruno Dumont, the director of La vie de Jésus (1996), first feature film on which he worked as a cinematographer. Le jour où Dieu est parti en voyage is his first film as a director. (San Sebastian film festival)
