Miguel Gomes

Miguel Gomes was born in Libson, Portugal in 1972. He studied film in Lisbon and worked as a film critic from 1996-00. His short films have screened at numerous international film festivals and received many awards. Gomes’ second feature film AQUELE QUERIDO MÊS DE AGOSTO screened at over forty film festivals all over the world, including Cannes in 2008. His film TABU, won the Alfred Bauer Award and the FIPRESCI Prize at the 2012 edition of the Berlinale, as well as the Audience Award and the Silver Lady Harimaguada at Las Palmas Film Festival, 2012 in Spain.
